Friends of The Foundation for Pierce College, this is truly sad news.

In a community as large as the West San Fernando Valley, where the Los Angeles Rams are investing significant time, resources, and energy, it is difficult to imagine Pierce College without a football season in 2026.

If there is something The Foundation can do to help, we are ready to step forward. We welcome conversations with local businesses, community organizations, alumni, and individuals who would like to work with us to support the program and its student-athletes.

Let’s come together and explore what is possible.

5 years ago I joined the board of the Foundation for Pierce College as a volunteer because serving others, selfishly, makes me feel great.

For the past two years, I have been the Chairman of the Board. Pierce College is the largest community college in Los Angeles, and that is in part due to the work this man started and that others continue. Rocky Young and I had lunch today, and I truly met someone who could be one of the most emotionally intelligent people I've encountered. He's a renowned leader, author, long-time nonprofit volunteer, and all-around great person.

Last night, Pierce College proudly stood among the region’s leaders at The Valley Economic Alliance 30th Anniversary — Valley of the Stars Awards Gala.

Our presence wasn’t just symbolic — it’s how we keep Pierce College initiatives front and center for our students, staff, and the broader community.

Big thanks to Foundation members Sunday Tsai and Ryan Taylor for representing the Pierce College Foundation, and to our very own President Aracely Aguiar for her leadership.

Together, we’re building a stronger future for the Valley — one student at a time.
