Getting a clear MRI can be especially challenging for the smallest patients: babies.

USC researchers are working to change that with low-cost, 3D-printed MRI coils using silver ink that can be customized to fit a patient’s size and produced in less than 10 minutes — and at a fraction of the cost. The customized coils can help produce affordable, high-quality MRI scans with improved signal capture and image quality.

Learn how this technology addresses a longstanding challenge in pediatric imaging and what researchers are doing next to bring it closer to use in patient care: https://uscne.ws/MRI
