Dear History Students: It is our great pleasure to announce the Ninth Undergraduate History Research Conference entitled “Lost or Forgotten Histories” to be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025! We encourage all undergraduates to submit original research papers on the reexamination of historiographical methods to discover overlooked, unremembered, and missing histories.

Submissions can be based on past or current work developed for History 96Ws, 97s, 187s, 191s, honors theses, or other historical research papers. Abstracts should be 250 words (or less) and submitted using this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfwU5sq-7ac-8K_gOZpONd4UFbUIi6Aus35_m2BSFu9rmdbRw/viewform (link in bio) by 11:59 pm Sunday, March 23.

You are invited to a Research and Library Services for History Students workshop! Librarian Michelle Brasseur will lead this workshop for undergraduate History students to introduce library services, demonstrate research skills, and answer student questions about finding information on topics of interest. Students are encouraged to bring your laptop if you would like to follow along with demonstrations. Though this workshop is designed for history student, students of any major or minor are welcome to join along and learn about these incredible resources!

Looking for a Winter 2025 history course? Consider HIST 149B: North American Indian History, 1830 to Present.

This course surveys the historical experiences of Native American peoples in the continental United States from the passage of the Indian Removal Act of 1830 to the present. Topics will include war, removals, reservations, genocide, survival, labor, boarding schools, urban relocation, termination, activism, civil rights, sovereignty, and casinos.
