USC Hillel Freshfest 2014

Freshfest is USC Hillel's overnight retreat for incoming Jewish students August 18-19, 2014! It's great to know so many people during those first few days.

Freshfest is USC Hillel's overnight retreat for incoming Jewish students, a unique opportunity to get acclimated to campus life. Join us and begin making friends before the rest of the student body even arrives! 38 Freshfest group leaders will introduce you to USC and to your newest friends! After lunch and a welcome program at Hillel on Monday 8/18, we will travel to the beautiful Camp Alonim Bra

ndeis-Bardin Institute, where we will take advantage of the camp's incredible outdoor facilities. At Freshfest, roughly 150 other Jewish students are waiting to be your new USC friends! Your Freshfest friends are destined to be some of your closest friends throughout your four years at ‘SC. We hope you'll join USC Hillel for this unforgettable experience!

Friday 4:30-6pm Pre- Shabbat Wine and Cheese Reception-
Frday 6:15pm- Trojan Family Weekend- Parent's Shabbat at USC Hillel

A: "Chanukah! It's so much fun to gather with friends and family each night to celebrate. Also, donuts anyone?"

A: "Getting to know new people before the hectic rush of USC Welcome Week. I also need new people to play Jewish geography with!"

A: "I went through this phase in high school where I grew out my hair and chemically straightened it to get the Zac Efron 'do. Because of it, I ended up winning the "Best Hair" superlative in my senior yearbook."

A: "Having friends right away before you start school. It makes a big difference during Welcome Week"

A: "You will meet people who went on freshfest with you but you never knew them, and you will most likely become friends with them. Jewish geography is huge at USC"

A: "the touch someone who game at the end of the retreat--I'm not usually a softy but that always gets me"

A: "I've ridden a camel in two countries other than Israel haha, and I'm insanely afraid of birds"
