Another day, another activity!🤩🎨

Our students took a trip to the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) to discover incredible artworks, explore new perspectives and experience a different side of LA beyond the classroom!

LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States, with collections spanning thousands of year and many different cultures. One of its most recognizable installations is Urban Lights, a collection of street lamps that has become an iconic photo spot🙌🏼

What does “boo” mean in English? 👻❤️

In American English, ‘boo” is a cute, affectionate nickname for your boyfriend, girlfriend, or someone you’re dating.
It’s similar to calling someone “babe” or “baby”!

For example: “I’m going out with my boo tonight!” 🥰
So, if someone calls you their “boo,” it usually means you’re someone special to them!

PS, a little cultural note: “Boo” is especially common in American English, and it can also be used playfully between close friends. It doesn’t always mean you’re officially in a relationship ! Or that they’re trying to scare you👻

🎃 HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS — UNIVERSAL STUDIOS 🎃

The BEST and SPOOKIEST night of the year is here!! 👻

Our bravest students enjoyed a night out at Universal Studios Hollywood — Horror Nights edition! 🧟‍♀️🩸

Every October, the park completely transforms into a real-life horror movie, with terrifying haunted houses, chilling scare zones, creepy characters, and plenty of surprises waiting around every corner. 😱

From screaming their way through the mazes to exploring the park after dark, our students definitely put their bravery to the test! 🫣🎃

Slaying the campus tour 💅🏼✨

Did you know that our school was originally located in LA’s Koreatown, a place we called home for 35 (!!!) years, before moving to Downtown just last year?

That’s right! Our beautiful campus is now located at the intersection of Spring and 3rd Street, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, inside the historic 13-story Washington Building. 🏢

We’ve loved making these hallways and classrooms our own and creating a welcoming, safe space for you all to learn, study, and socialize. 🫶🏼

This month was full of fun trips and activities at Columbia West College! Among other exciting experiences, we took our students to The Broad Museum to explore contemporary art, right in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.

From iconic installations to unexpected pieces, going to an art museum is the perfect way to experience a different side of Los Angeles!
