USC WCA is excited to share that our last speaker of the Feminist Media Festival will be Roma King, who is leading a discussion on directing and producing! King is a  director, writer, producer, editor, and former dancer who has worked on sold-out live-stage shows, award-winning films, and massively viewed digital platform content in the USA and in her native Peru. Join us to learn more about her work as an editor for Disney, Nickelodeon, DC Comics, Netflix, and Westbrook Studios as well as her experience working as lead producer and a co-writer on the SXSW Special Jury Recognition winning feature film I’M FINE.

USC WCA is excited to announce the second event of the Feminist Media Festival! Comedian and writer Shannon Hardy, WeScreenplay Diverse Voices finalist, Launch Pad Pilot Writing semifinalist, and Yes and Laughter Lab finalist, will be running a screenwriting workshop as our second event. Join us if you’re interested in learning more about comedy writing and her recents works featured in Clexacon, LA Women’s Independent Film Festival, AGLIFF, LA Cinefest, NFFTY, The Advocate/Pride, and Film Pipeline. NOTE: If you are planning on attending, please bring pitch ideas, questions, or 10 (max) pages of a screenplay.
