Hollywood Awaits You, Temple! Welcome stars of tomorrow and leaders of today! What else can students expect from this program?

This is the official Temple University FMA Los Angeles Study Away Internship Program Page. This program is one of a kind, and offers students in the fields of film, broadcasting, theater, journalism, and advertising an experience like no other. The program is offered in the spring, summer, and fall semesters and allows students to gain hands-on experience in the entertainment capital of the world.

Students take courses that focus on Los Angeles culture, writing, and film, while interning with production companies, studios, PR firms, advertising agencies, music labels and talent agencies. Students have the opportunity to explore everything LA has to offer and to network with industry professionals. Here's what one of our current students says:

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Summer Semester!! We all had a great time out here in LA gaining so much experience both in and out of the industry. We’ll see you all in the fall!

A huge thank you again to our final set of guest speakers, Kate Peterman, writer, and Kimberly Burnick, VP of Sustainable Content & Partnerships at NBCUniversal, for coming in last week and sharing some incredible advice with us.

Getting to hear thier stories and thier paths into the industry was truly inspiring, and the advice that they gave will be used a ton when it comes time for us to enter the industry.

Thanks again, and we wish them the best of luck on any future projects they may have!

Throwing it back to last week’s guest speaker. Sheila Walcott, Senior Vice President of Creative Development at Warner Bros., came in and shared some incredible insights into her experience.

Getting to ask her questions about what she does and what her experience has been like truly was a pleasure and will help us all move forward with our careers in the entertainment industry!

We had a great time this past weekend touring the Warner Brothers lot! We saw lots of cool sets, costumes, and props, and had a great time exploring! (And we even saw some alumn Quinta Brunson Kunal Nayyar 👀)
