UCLA Library seeks a Library Analytics, Metrics & Assessment Librarian to help advance a culture of evidence-informed decision-making.

The librarian will collaborate with units across the Library to design assessments, analyze and interpret data and develop dashboards and reports that support planning, resource allocation, service improvement and organizational learning.

UCLA Library remembers Robert Gore, visual arts librarian and longtime steward of the Library’s renowned artists’ book collection, who died June 12 at age 67.

During more than two decades at UCLA, Robert connected thousands of students, faculty and researchers with the visual arts through instruction, research support and collection development. Due in significant part to his acquisitions, UCLA Library became one of the largest holders of artists’ books in North America.

Remembering Dolly Parton (1946–2026) ❤️

While surveying audiovisual materials from UCLA Library Special Collections, Preservation & Conservation staff came across materials from the papers of filmmaker Colin Higgins, including behind-the-scenes photographs of Higgins and Parton on the set of "9 to 5" (1980). Higgins co-wrote and directed the film and later directed Parton in "The Best Little Wh******se in Texas" (1982).

The papers include production materials, promotional items, photographs and recordings related to the films.
