In keeping with our commitment to promoting a healthy heart, mind, body, and spirit, the Physical and Mental Health Committee invites you to join us at SoFi Stadium on Tuesday, January 13th for a commemorative walk in honor of our 113th Founders Day. Together, we will celebrate sisterhood, movement, and community while prioritizing self-care and holistic health.

In addition to our walk for wellness, we are proud to include a literacy-focused service project. We invite participants to bring one children’s book by a Black author for a child between the ages of 5–14 (K–8). As we walk for physical wellness, we also walk for literacy, supporting representation, access, and a love of reading for our youth. This event is open to all. Feel free to invite friends, family members, and neighbors to walk alongside us as we continue our journey toward wellness in 2026. As we invest in our wellness, we fortify ourselves to lead effectively and serve sustainably.

Back to Where It All Began
In celebration of the Farwest Region’s Centennial, the women of IAC returned to where it all started—the UC Berkeley campus. There, they gathered for the Farwest Regional September Breakfast, a heartfelt event filled with gratitude and reflection. Sorors and guests enjoyed tributes to Vivian Marsh (the first Regional Director and the Sorority’s seventh National President). Attendees also enjoyed reflections of 100 years of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action in the Farwest and offered a call to action to continue fortifying the House that Vivian Marsh built.

In a heartfelt display of support, IAC Sorors took a moment during the well-attended Sacred Flow Breast/Chestfeeding Community Brunch to present a monetary donation. This gesture serves as a testament to the commitment to reducing Black infant mortality and promoting the health of Black families within local communities. As a result of this ongoing collaboration, IAC continues to uplift those in need and ensures that Black Infant Health remains one of its priorities.
