We’re excited to announce a special event on September 18th at 6 PM: a behind-the-scenes look at visual effects with Wētā FX! This unique opportunity will offer insights into the magic of VFX from one of the industry’s leading studios.

We’re thrilled to collaborate with for this joint event. Beck Veitch, a Compositing Supervisor at Wētā FX with twenty years of experience, will be joining us. Beck played a crucial role in Wētā’s work on Matt Reeves’ The Batman, specifically developing the look of camera lensing and rain effects for the Batmobile chase. She recently wrapped as Compositing Supervisor on Season 2 of House of the Dragon.

In her talk, Beck will share her journey in the visual effects industry, highlighting her work on projects like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Charlotte’s Web, and the Hobbit trilogy. She’ll also discuss the career progression from VFX Compositor to Compositing Supervisor, with insights into her recent work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. To wrap up, Beck will demonstrate Nuke, the industry-standard compositing software, showing how final shots come together through the balance of digital assets.

Don’t miss this chance to explore the art and technology behind your favorite films with a leading industry expert!
