📈🎓 Congratulations to Kamsi Nzeribe ’26, a finance major whose time at LMU has been defined by entrepreneurship and a passion for creative industries.

Drawn to LMU for its strong academics, Los Angeles location, and emphasis on personal growth, Kamsi used his experience on the Bluff to explore both the analytical and creative sides of business. Courses like Professor David Offenberg’s Entertainment Finance class helped him better understand the connections between finance, film, and media while giving him the confidence to pursue opportunities in the entertainment space.

Outside the classroom, Kamsi expanded his perspective through a study abroad experience in London, where he interned with LIBBY London. While at LMU, Kamsi also balanced school with running his own clothing business, gaining real-world experience in entrepreneurship and applying classroom lessons directly to his work.

As he prepares for what’s next, Kamsi plans to continue exploring opportunities in entertainment finance while building on the entrepreneurial mindset and creative problem-solving skills he developed throughout his time at LMU.

Excited to see where your journey takes you next, Kamsi! 🦁

🎬🎓 Congratulations to Audrey Wood ’26, a LMU School of Film and Television graduate whose passion for storytelling, community-building, and inclusive leadership has shaped her journey as a filmmaker at LMU.

During her time on the Bluff, Audrey developed a creative voice rooted in intentionality and “radical hospitality”. Inspired by professors like Dr. Laurel Butler, Audrey learned how meaningful creative spaces are built by putting people first, a philosophy she now carries into every project and film set she leads.

Beyond the classroom, Audrey gained professional experience through internships with the Television Academy Foundation and NBCUniversal, while also serving as President of the Gryphon Circle Service Organization. Through Gryphon Circle, she worked weekly as a classroom aide at St. Columbkille School and launched a scholarship initiative that raised more than $2,100 to support students’ education.

As the director of her junior thesis film, “The Boy and the Bear,” Audrey discovered her passion for building collaborative creative communities through filmmaking. Next year, she will continue her journey at LMU while pursuing a Master’s in Entertainment Leadership and Management.

Congratulations, Audrey! We can’t wait to see the communities and stories you create next! 🦁✨

May the 4th be with you! ✨

Daniel Cavey (’97), Senior Producer at Lucasfilm, helps bring stories from the Star Wars universe to life across animation and nonfiction projects for Disney+.

Cavey built his foundation through hands-on production courses at LMU's School of Film and Television and through his time at KXLU, the university’s student-run radio station. Whether crewing on student films or managing the station at just 19, those early experiences shaped the collaborative mindset he still carries into every project.

After graduating, Cavey got his start in production, where he quickly realized how much his LMU experience had prepared him. That foundation would carry him to Lucasfilm, where he now oversees projects such as 'Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy' and 'Star Wars: Visions', working alongside teams responsible for some of the most iconic storytelling in film history.

Through it all, Cavey credits LMU’s emphasis on hands-on learning, storytelling, and collaboration as key to his journey, proving how classroom experience can translate directly into industry impact.
