Join us and UCLA Athletics for this special event!🐻

Learn more about the rules of American football and the UCLA Football Program straight from the coaches! Complimentary pizza will be available for all attendees. This is a great event to check out if you are a brand new international student or scholar who would like to learn more about the sport so you can cheer on the Bruins this year!

Space for this event is limited to 120 and registration is required - register at the Dashew website!

Also - UCLA Athletics has announced that admission to all regular-season home football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball games are now free for all UCLA students!💙💛

Language Exchange connects members of the UCLA community who want to practice their conversation skills and meet people from around the world. All language levels are welcome!

We’ll do our best to find a match for everyone, but some language pairings may have higher demand than others.

If you’re looking to explore something a little different, here are four spots worth adding to your list:

🏛️ Museum of Jurassic Technology, one of the most unique museums in LA. Trust us, the less you know before you go, the better.

🌊 Venice Canals, a quiet neighborhood with pedestrian bridges and waterways that feels worlds away from the busy Venice Boardwalk.

📚 The Last Bookstore, a historic bookstore filled with hidden rooms, art, records, and the famous book tunnel.

🚋 Angels Flight, the world’s shortest railway and a piece of Los Angeles history that’s appeared in countless films, including La La Land.

🍴🌎 Share a taste of home with the UCLA community!

Do you have a favorite dish from home, a family recipe, or something that always reminds you of where you’re from? Submit it to the Dashew Center’s Cookbook of Cultures!

We’re collecting recipes from Bruins around the world to create an online cookbook celebrating the foods and traditions that make up our international community. The cookbook will be shared during International Education Week 2026. 💙
