Over the last 2 years we have continued to rise in the film school rankings - a reflection of the talent, creativity, and passion of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We're grateful for this recognition, proud to be the only school in New England in the top 15, and even more excited for what's next as we continue to elevate our program and empower the next generation of filmmakers.

Emerson College has been named by Variety as an honoree in its 2026 Top Film Schools list 🏆

Variety editors reviewed top entertainment education schools for this year’s list, evaluating each program’s current offerings, including courses, instructors, and entertainment-focused training across film, music, TV, and related fields. Emerson College was singled out for its strong bicoastal approach that provides students with access to industry-standard soundstages, labs and production suites, while addressing new AI technology.
