Congratulation to the class of 2021! 🎉 As the school year wraps up, we wanted to share 5 resource that helped us navigate our time at UCLA.

1. Transfer Center
As a transfer student, one can feel very lost and confused when entering a four-year institution. A transfer is expected to be on the same level as third-year Bruins, but experience a lot of that same challenges that freshmen face when entering a new educational institution. The Transfer Center helped a ton by providing resources, workshops and stands as a support group for all transfer students. Be sure to stop by if you're a transfer and check out their website here: https://transfers.ucla.edu/

2. Professor's Office Hours
Knowing what to study for the exams or taking your learning experience a step further can be done during your professor's office hours! During these office hours, you get a chance to not only have conversations that are based around your take on the class, but you also get a chance to establish a connection with them. Your professor will usually list their office hours on the class syllabus.

3. UCLA Career Center
Whether its getting help looking for jobs/internships, fixing your resume or practicing for interviews, the UCLA Career Center is the place to be! Also look out for their drop-in hours if you just want some quick help. Check out their website here: https://career.ucla.edu/

4. Community Program Office
The UCLA Community Programs Office serves as an umbrella department for the Student Initiated Outreach Center, Student Retention Center, and twenty five student-initiated community service projects.

The CPO strives to increase students from underserved communities' access to higher education, retention in the university, and graduation rates while also serving as a conscious effort in the community, working toward the empowerment of all people. You can check out their website here: https://www.uclacommunityprograms.org/cpo/

5. Academic Advancement Program
AAP is the nation’s largest university-based student diversity program.

They promote academic achievement and excellence through academic advising, peer learning and collaborative learning workshops, mentoring to prepare students for graduate studies and professional schools, summer bridge programs for entering freshmen and transfer students, and scholarships for enrolled students. They provide support like no other, so be sure to check them out here: https://www.aap.ucla.edu/
