A new school year is underway at USC Gould — and while our alumni may be done with classes, there’s still plenty they can teach our students.

USC Gould School of Law Professor Angela Zhang joined global leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, for a discussion on the future of U.S.-China relations.

During the panel, "US and China: Where Will They Land?", Zhang examined the two countries' continued economic and technological interconnectedness.

USC Gould School of Law's 2026 Real Estate Law and Business Forum brought together hundreds of attorneys, developers, investors and industry leaders to examine the legal, economic and regulatory forces reshaping commercial real estate.

From macroeconomic forecasts and post-wildfire rebuilding to AI's growing role in legal practice and the future of mobility infrastructure, speakers explored the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. The forum also featured a keynote conversation with USC Trustees Glenn Sonnenberg, Jaime L. Lee and Amy A. Ross, Ph.D., on universities as drivers of innovation and community investment.

Hosted by USC Gould's Continuing Legal Education, the annual forum continues to convene leaders from across the profession for timely conversations on the issues shaping real estate law and business.

Announced this week, USC Gould's new International Law and Human Rights certificate will launch in Fall 2026 as an initiative of the Donna and Spencer Gilbert Global Justice & Human Rights Center.

Available to JD and LLM students, as well as through a standalone on-campus option, the certificate offers coursework in international law, human rights, global legal systems and enforcement mechanisms, while building practical lawyering skills.
