Introducing M.S. in Business Analytics (MSBA) alumna Lousin Babayan ’19, M.S. ’23, a data analyst at Keck Medicine of USC, who turned her passion for explaining things and love of sharing knowledge into a career centered around data and communication. 📈
Lousin chose the LMU MSBA program because it was an ideal fit, combining her technical skills with the ability to translate insights into meaningful action. “Business analytics focuses not just on data, but also on how to communicate and implement findings. It seemed to be a perfect balance and representation of who I am.” 🌟
Through hands-on projects with real-world businesses, Lousin built a strong foundation in both analytics and business during the program. She not only learned how to collect, prepare, clean, and analyze data but also how to effectively present data and communicate its meaning to diverse audiences. These skills have been essential to her success. 🚀
When reflecting on her time as a graduate student, what stands out most to Lousin is the strong connection she built with the faculty. “LMU's professors genuinely care about their students, and it shows. This mutual respect created an environment that was enjoyable and conducive to learning.” She recalled, “Professor Kala Seal exemplifies the very best of LMU. He teaches in an engaging and efficient manner and has left a lasting impact on my academic journey.”
For those considering the LMU MSBA program, Lousin shares this advice: “Be kind to yourself and practice patience. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Celebrate your progress, even the small wins, and keep pushing forward.”
As a proud double alumna, 🦁 Lousin is grateful for the education and values LMU instilled in her.
We’re so honored to cheer you on in all your success, Lousin!
