-Involvement: Honors Program, McConnell Scholars, Soaring Scholars and Study Abroad.
As a Louisville native, Mallory found that UofL allowed her to build a close-knit community while fostering her independence. She views the campus as almost a little city in itself, complete with its own vibrant culture and robust support systems.
Fostering Academic and Professional Interests
During her time at UofL, Mallory was a McConnell Scholar, a prestigious opportunity that gave her the resources to stand out among her peers and deeply explore her academic passions. Her political science advisors stood firmly in her corner, helping steer her in the right direction and offering unwavering support throughout her journey.
Why UofL?
The decision to stay in her hometown for college was driven by UofL's incredible unique opportunities. For Mallory, one of the absolute highlights was studying abroad in Morocco during the Spring 2024 semester. It quickly became one of her favorite semesters of college, proving crucial for her language learning and helping her successfully attain her individualized Arabic degree.
Life on Campus
Mallory credits programs like the Soaring Scholars and the tight-knit honors community for making a large university feel like home. Whether she is diving into graduate-level political research or sharing her experiences from across the globe, she is a testament to how far you can go when you have a supportive campus behind you.
