For Dr. Roberto A. Carrera, the whole Bible is meant to be read, understood, and treasured. He teaches students to see the Old Testament as God's living Word, helping them make sense of its difficult passages and its essential place in the story of redemption.

In the classroom, Dr. Carrera equips students to study Scripture with confidence, from learning the biblical languages to understanding the text with care. Through his leadership of Southern's Online Hispanic Program, he also helps make that same theological training available to Spanish-speaking students around the world.
