After a long and quiet summer, the Law Library is finally returning to our regular hours as follows:

Monday - Thursday: 8 AM - 9 PM
Friday: 8 AM - 6 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Sunday: 1 PM - 9 PM

Please note: Monday, September 7th: The Law Library will be closed for Labor Day. Additionally, The Law Library will remain open during its regular hours throughout the law school's fall break.

Law Students should continue checking the Law Library's Instagram and pages for ongoing updates and last-minute changes to our schedule. Local event schedules, weather events, and other factors may affect the Law Library's hours.

The Law Library is moving to reduced hours until the beginning of the Fall Semester. We can't wait for students to return to the library in August!

Mon, July 27 and Tues, July 28: 8 AM to 8 PM
Wed, July 29 and Thurs, July 30: 8 AM to 5 PM
Fri, July 30 - Sun, Aug 2: CLOSED
Mon, Aug 3 - Sun Aug 16: Open Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM; Closed Weekends

Happy Independence Day. In observation, the Law Library will be closed Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th. Have a safe holiday weekend!

Happy Juneteenth from the UofL Law Library! In observance of the federal holiday, the Law Library will be closed all weekend (Friday the 19th - Sunday the 21st). Have a safe holiday!

Need a quiet place to prep for the Bar or work on a summer class? The Law Library will be open all summer long with the following hours:

Mon - Thu: 8 AM - 8 PM
Fri: 8 AM - 6 PM
Sat: 9 AM - 5 PM
Sun: CLOSED

Exceptions:
Friday, June 19th: CLOSED
July 3rd and 4th: CLOSED

These hours are subject to change based on I-65 closures and related events. Check the Law Library’s social media for up-to-date information on closures.

The Law Library hours are adjusted for post-finals and Derby weekend! Instead of our normal hours, we will be open:

Thursday, April 30th: 8 AM - 5 PM
Friday, May 1st: 8 AM - 12 PM (Noon)
Saturday, May 2nd: CLOSED
Sunday, May 3rd: CLOSED

This weekend, several Kentucky Derby Festival activities will affect the commute to and from campus. The Law Library will still be open, but patrons may need to use alternate routes and/or parking lots to access campus.

On Saturday, April 25th: 2nd and 3rd St will be closed from 6 AM until 4 PM for the mini and full KDF marathons. For information on parking and campus access, please visit the University of Louisville parking website.

On Sunday, April 26th: various streets in the Highlands and other nearby neighborhoods will be closed for the Pegasus Parade. This should not affect access to campus. Commuters should consult the official LMPD webpage titled "Kentucky Derby Festival Information", which includes a detailed list of street closures.
