Our sweet Chloe has undergone four surgeries and still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. Chloe is a loving, kind, and caring friend. She dedicates a lot of her time helping others through her positions in She Became, Panhellenic, raiseRED, and UofL Nursing. Chloe has supported our philanthropy events for Make a Wish and served as basket chair for our annual Chili Cookoff last year. Her sisters and friends say that she is silly, fun to be around, caring, and a hard worker. 💗

Thank you to everyone that has donated to the Go Fund Me and to all of the other Greek organizations that have shared it with their community. Your generosity means the most to Chloe and her family at this time. ❤️

You can show your support by donating to Chloe’s Go Fund Me or continuing to keep her and in your thoughts and prayers.

One of Chi Omegas six purposes is academic excellence and intellectual pursuits! There is no one better to explain what that means to them then sister Macy Waddle. Macy is in PC ‘22 Studying Political Science on a global studies and international affairs track. This summer she worked as a Congressional Intern in the district office of Kentucky’s Third Congressional District. She assisted assisted Louisville residents with any issues they had with federal agencies and completed an outreach plan to help the office promote civic engagement in immigrant and refugee communities.

Here is what Macy has to say on why this purpose is important to her:

“I’ve always been a person who loves to be involved academically and I can say Chi O is the number one reason that I have been able to find coursework and student organizations that I’m passionate about. When I was going to recruitment, any thing I had an interest in there was almost always an active member already involved in it. It is extremely helpful to have a familiar face when trying new things and in nearly everything I’m involved in, even my mentored scholar program, you can find another Chi Omega. With the highest Greek spring semester GPA, I feel I am always surrounded by women who not only want to succeed academically themselves, but also want to see me flourish too. Coming into a new environment to be difficult and I genuinely don’t know where I would be today without the support from the women of Chi O.”

Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month from Chi Omega and sister Mikaella Tañales! Mika is a rising junior and our current Treasurer. Here is what she has to say about her identity and Chi Omega!

Growing up in the Philippines, I was immersed in a vibrant culture and close-knit community. Although I now call the United States my home, staying connected to my roots remains a priority. Regular visits to the Philippines allow me to embrace traditions, contribute to my community, and witness the impact of collective support. Joining Chi Omega has been a transformative experience, providing me with a diverse and inclusive sisterhood that celebrates our unique backgrounds. Through Chi Omega, I have grown personally and developed leadership skills by stepping outside my comfort zone. Engaging in community service and professional development activities has expanded my horizons and allowed me to make a difference.
