It's Convocation Day!

Today, our River Hawks officially kick off the new academic year! Convocation is UMass Lowell's big welcome to the semester and welcome to our new class of River Hawks!

And after Convocation? The Student Involvement Fair! Students can meet clubs and organizations, discover new interests and find ways to get connected on campus.

Today’s a great day to send your River Hawk a quick text: “Have a great year...and go check out the Involvement Fair!”

Convocation is the formal welcome for all students entering the UMass Lowell academic community. This year, we will welcome first-year students on Monday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. at the Tsongas Center.

Join staff from UMass Lowell (UML) Disability Services to learn more about the office and the registration and accommodations process. This session will also discuss how the accommodations process in college differs from what students and families may have experienced in the Kindergarten to 12th grade (K-12) system. Staff will also give tips and recommendations for supporting your student as they transition to UMass Lowell. Hosted on Zoom.
