700 miles away from LCU, and positively impacting students each day.

Congratulations to CL (Clayton) Henriksen (LCU alum 2020)! He recently received a $500 grant from the Arvest Bank "We Love Teachers" program in Kansas City, MO. Nominated for this award by his Lincoln College Prep principal, Melissa Zirkel, she states "He is truly the epitome of what greatness looks like in our building".

Follow the link to watch the brief news clip as Mr. Henriksen was surprised on LIVE TV with the BIG check and hear how he plans to use it for his students preparing for a one-act play.

The LCU Wynn College of Education is so proud of him, and each and every alum as they daily dedicate their heart, mind, soul, and passion to our shared mission.

Kelly Carlson and Antoine Butler with Arvest Bank join Lincoln Prep Principal Melissa Zirkel to honor theater teacher Clayton “CJ” Henriksen in a special presentation as part of their 'We Love Teachers' Program.

I spy with my little eye a WCOE EC major in Spain! Ariel Corzine is leaving her mark on Avila Spain this semester.

The Semester in Spain group visited Patio de Los Leones at the Alhambra. Our weekend in Granada has proved to be a great opportunity to see and learn so much about a place full of Spanish history.

The LCU Board of Trustees invited Dr. Gene Sheets to share his passion for preparing Christian leaders in our doctoral and superintendent programs within the graduate school in the Wynn College of Education.

One-third of the public school district superintendents in this region have been trained at LCU, and each of them have been implored to “Lead like David with the courage to face Goliath, but remember that the battle belongs to the Lord” (Dr. Sheets).

We are proud of you and your service. Thank you, Dr. Sheets.

WCoE major Annie Brown, singing with all her heart! ❤️

The 2026-27 members of Best Friends:

Annie Brown is a freshman Early Childhood Education major from Temple, Texas, where she graduated from Lake Belton High School. She brings an impressive background in music to Best Friends, having sung in choir since seventh grade and played saxophone in her school’s band for several years. In high school, singing soon became her primary musical passion, as she participated in musical theatre productions and competed in the All-State Choir audition process. She also qualified twice for the State UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest and was a leading member of Lake Belton High School’s Varsity Mixed Choir and Cantando, a mixed a ca****la show choir. Annie is especially comfortable leading worship as a member of a Praise Team. This year, you’ll hear her voice soaring above the rest on the highest soprano harmonies, and you’ll hear her stirring lead vocals on the songs Rainclouds and Since I Found You.
