The first full week of October is observed as National . The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing values midwives and their role in shaping the future of health care during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. The school’s MSN Nurse Midwifery Track prepares graduates to take the American Midwifery Certification Board exam.

To treat Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Abilene School of Nursing students during their “Wreck the NCLEX” review days, staff members served lunch to graduating seniors in last month! The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is an exam that nursing graduates must pass to become licensed as Registered Nurses.

The School of Nursing Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo and the Institute of Telehealth and Digital Innovation (ITDI) were honored to welcome high school students from across the region for the Next Stop Nursing Camp!

The immersive camp offered a hands-on experience that introduced high school students to nursing and healthcare careers through innovative learning activities focused on patient care, telehealth, simulation, disaster response and clinical skills. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals, learn about emerging technologies in healthcare and experience firsthand the many pathways available within the nursing profession.

Recent graduates of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in participated in a three-day, in-person ATI Nursing Review in anticipation of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The review kicked off with breakfast from the Office of Advising & Support and ended with a lunch to celebrate the graduates and their accomplishments.

The 2027 edition of the U.S. News Best Colleges rankings evaluated more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities, using up to 17 factors to measure academic quality and graduate success.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) students at the site in , have begun simulation and clinical rotations for their final semester as they prepare to transition into professional nursing practice.

The TTUHSC Accelerated BSN program is offered at campuses and teaching sites across the state, allowing students who already have education or training to complete their BSN degree in just three semesters.
