On Monday, our Ranger Challenge team completed the Order of Movement formation, 5 mini events used to determine each team’s starting position for the upcoming competition. This formation tested dedication, physical endurance, and attention to detail, requiring cadets to move efficiently through each event. Through repetition and refinement, cadets demonstrated adaptability and cohesion, ultimately placing 19th overall out of 48 teams. Following the completion of OOM, cadets transitioned directly into two additional days of focused training in preparation for the competition weekend. Training emphasized refining techniques, reinforcing fundamentals, and strengthening team coordination to ensure readiness across all evaluated events. This progression highlighted the importance of disciplined preparation, teamwork, and continuous improvement as cadets prepared to compete Friday through Sunday.

Fort Pickett Spring JFTX

Partnering with three other ROTC programs, cadets led from the front—executing land navigation, refining weapons proficiency, and maneuvering through platoon-level STX lanes.
Through adverse weather conditions, resilience was not just tested—it was built.

We are immensely proud of the grit, teamwork, and disciplined preparation that led to this victory. This team of 11 cadets earned every mile, every rep, and every point — outperforming 43 other teams, including those from multiple Senior Military Colleges.

We’re honored to represent 4th Brigade at the Sandhurst Military Skills Competition this spring.

Next stop: West Point.

This past Thursday, Eagle Company MS1 and MS2 Cadets executed an Individual Movement Techniques (IMTs) lab. IMTs are the foundational skills of closing with and maneuvering against the enemy including the high crawl, low crawl, and 3–5 second rush. These movements build the discipline, endurance, and tactical awareness required of every soldier in combat.

Cadets learned to fight through terrain, maintain control under stress, and execute movement with precision — the same skills that form the backbone of the Army’s small-unit tactics. Eagle Company continues to set the standard in training future leaders to master the fundamentals and lead from the front.
