Last Friday, we had an incredible time at the annual PLS Spring Soirée! 💐🪩 It was a pleasure having Vice Dean Chrisman from speak to our members about the legal realm and preparing for law school through a Christian worldview. If you’ve never heard him speak, make sure to come back for another time—he is truly a man of the Lord’s wisdom and passion! This event would not have been possible if it weren’t for sponsorship!

Thank you to those who attended and for making this year one to remember as we look towards next academic year. Thank you to this year’s Executive Board and for serving as President these past three years, all making Pre-Law Society what it is and will continue to be! We wish you students the best of luck on finals as this semester comes to a close, but we are excited as our new Board takes over and as returning PLS members continue to grow this community.

2025-2026, you were so good to us! 🌟

We had such a blast this week on our annual trip to Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸 The highlight of this year’s itinerary included a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building under ‘s office. We are incredibly grateful for his office staff and interns who took time to coordinate this trip with us and spent the afternoon as our guides of our nation’s history.

What a privilege it is to continue this yearly trip to remind students of the very heart of this nation and its historical importance. Thank you to everyone who attended! D.C., we’ll see you again soon. 😉

Earlier this week, we had the privilege of hosting David Corry from General Counsel. He discussed the area of non-profit law and how his legal background and knowledge equipped him to take on his current position at the university to handle such matters. Ranging from the financial and business aspects to the relational and mission-centered heart of this type of law is what makes it possible to have an effective policy and regulation under this umbrella.

What a blessing it is to learn under such dedicated peers! If you want to continue to hear from diverse legal professionals in various legal fields, mark your calendars for our upcoming events! 📆

This past Tuesday, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Vorberger for a discussion on civil litigation and all it entails. Students were able to understand the various types of law that one can specialize in, as well as how to best prepare and put in the work now to be able to set themselves up for success in their chosen field. Whether it be through networking, taking certain courses, or navigating various extracurricular involvement, Dr. Vorberger encouraged students to take advantage of the present and seek opportunities and mentors who are able to give an insight in the type of law one wishes to practice or the general legal system and its operations for hands-on experience and further knowledge.

If you were unable to attend and would still like to listen to what was discussed, you may access the recorded event via Youtube linked in our bio! 🔗
