The University of Lynchburg’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences is proud to spotlight Doctor of Medical Science alumnus, Dr. Dallas Lipscomb.

Dr. Lipscomb is a 2020 DMSc program graduate with an emphasis and special interest in Telehealth. He is the owner of Compassion Care Clinic in New Mexico, where they put “Care” back into Health Care.

Reflecting on his experience in the DMSc program, Dr. Lipscomb offers this advice to current students:
“After completing the DMSc program, I wanted to make a difference. This inspired me to open my own clinic so that I could practice with Compassion and Care.”

Outside of medicine, Dr. Lipscomb enjoys collecting stamps and relaxing while kayaking on the Elephant Butte Lake.

The University of Lynchburg School of Medicine and Health Sciences DMSc program is proud to highlight our DMSc faculty and alumna, Dr. Raquelle Akavan, during the Third Annual Women’s Medical Summit proudly sponsored by PA Mom’s, taking place July 22 - 26, 2026,at the Conrad Orlando Resort in Florida.

Dr. Akavan will be presenting, “Find your People Build Your Path” during the PA Moms Mentorship/Leadership Lab on Wednesday July 22 at 4:30pm. She will also be serving as the CME program director for the entire conference.
