Right to repair seemed like a distant goal not too long ago, but recently it has been feeling like we aren't being completely ignored by tech companies. And of all companies to launch a self-repair program, Apple seemed like an unlikely candidate. The less tech getting thrown into landfills, the better.

Apple has launched its do-it-yourself repair service program in the US, and you can even rent toolkits if necessary..

In what seems like another small victory for the people, Verizon has raised its internal minimum wage to $20. This is unlikely to cause a ripple in the movement led by those seeking thriving wages, but it is a notable change from a well-known company. It has been a seeker's market for a while now since the pandemic, and we can only hope that this trend catches on to stabilize the job market.

U.S. wireless carrier Verizon Communications Inc said on Monday it would raise the minimum wage of its new and existing customer service, retail and inside sales employees to $20 an hour amid a tight labor market and rising inflation.

In classic Musk fashion, he's making stocks dip and dive with every move he makes. In this case, Tesla's stock has taken quite the hit following news of the purchase. Worries over the optics, financials, and Musk's attention span mean fear in the market, but we'll have to see if any of those fears are realized.

Tesla shares dropped 12.2%, wiping out more than $125 billion off its market value, over worries about how it would be impacted as Elon Musk looks to complete his takeover of Twitter.

Let’s send everyone off to vacation with good news, shall we? In 2021, 10% of the world’s energy was produced by solar and wind power, as renewable energies continue to become more and more popular around the world. I hope to see this number climb with each passing year. Have a great break everyone!

The findings come as the world faces an energy crunch, both from the economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic as well as from Russia's war in Ukraine, which has forced many countries to seek alternative energy sources to Russian oil and gas.

The satisfying feeling of popping battery packs in and out of devices may be making a comeback in the EU, as a call is being made to mandate replaceable batteries be put in all consumer electronics. Not only is this more sustainable for the consumer, but the prospect of having a more effective circular economy surrounding batteries is a prospect we should all be excited for.

Back in the day, just about everything that used a battery had a hatch or a hutch that you could open to pull it out and replace it if need be. Whether it was a radio, a cordless phone, or a cellph…

Off the back of yesterday's article, it seems much of the world is beginning to feel the political pressure to back off of Russian oil. But as this article does a beautiful job describing, and as you've been feeling every time you go to the pump, this comes with large economic implications as well. This chapter in the story of the world is not finished being written yet, and we are all along for the ride.

Russian oil is becoming even less welcome in the global petroleum market as traders fret over the possibility of a U.S.-led ban on the nation’s supplies, and a latest purchase by Shell Plc drew condemnation. TotalEnergies SE said its traders will no longer buy the nation’s crude.
