Where we are...

Gentlemen, Brothers, and Family:

I hope you are well as we enter the final part of the year. Our Undergraduate Chapter continues to make great progress, earning another Sweepstakes Award and recruiting 13 new members. After more than 50 years, our Chapter remains strong.

We now need your support to complete a critical project: replacing the Chapter House boiler.

Fundraising Progress
• Progress toward goal: 48.08%
• Contributions received: $17,003.00
• Amount still needed: $17,997.00
• Overall goal: $35,000.00

Why This Project Matters
Work on this major project has been ongoing since 2024. The outpouring of support during our 50th anniversary came at a critical time and helped us complete major improvements and repairs. Additional areas will still require attention—and financial support—but replacing the boiler is especially urgent as the weather grows colder.

Please take a moment to donate and help us complete this essential repair. I know everyone has many demands on their time, and I appreciate your consideration and continued support.
It is encouraging to see alumni from across the decades participating.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed, and special recognition to my decade for stepping up in a significant way. If you have not yet donated and are able to help, your contribution can bring this repair closer to completion.

Contributions by Graduation Decade:

Here is the current donation breakdown by graduation decade:
• 1970s: $3,150
• 1980s: $2,700
• 1990s: $7,610
• 2000s: $2,310
• 2010s: $1,133
• 2020s: $100

Upcoming Events:
• WIU Homecoming - October 23, 24 and 25
o Alumni Homecoming Events - WIU
• WIU Football vs. Eastern Illinois Univesity - November 7
o 2026 Football Tickets - Eastern Illinois University Athletics
o Tickets on sale August 1

Must Get Half Way ASAP

Gentlemen,

We’re calling on our incredible Delta Upsilon Alumni to help push us over the halfway mark in our fundraising effort. A $700 donation gets us past 50% and sets the pace for the final stretch. Let’s get to the finish line — but first, let’s get to halfway.

Our undergraduates are working tirelessly to keep the Chapter strong, uphold our values, and build the kind of brotherhood we were all proud to be part of. Now it’s our turn to show them that the support and devotion of our alumni network is still alive and well.

We all have busy lives, but taking just a moment to contribute will make a meaningful impact. Every donation — large or small — moves us forward and keeps the Chapter on a positive path.
Let’s step up. Let’s show them what alumni leadership looks like. Let’s get this done.

Fundraising progress is going well, but we still need additional support to reach the finish line:
• Current progress: 48% of goal
• Total contributions received: $16,803.00
• Remaining amount needed: $18,197.00
• Overall goal: $35,000.00

We need 95 Alumni to step up with a $200 donation. If we hit that, our fundraising for the Climate System update — a desperately needed improvement for the Chapter House — will be complete.
This upgrade is essential for the comfort, safety, and long term stability of the home our undergraduates rely on every single day. They’re working tirelessly to keep the Chapter strong; let’s show them that their alumni stand behind them.

Chapter Recognition
We are excited to share that the Undergraduate Chapter has earned the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity’s highest honor, the Sweepstakes Award, for the fourth time since 2022. This achievement reflects the dedication of our undergraduates and advisors, whose hard work continues to keep the chapter operating at an exceptional level.

We also extend a special thank-you to Dave Maguire for his ongoing support of the chapter and for helping sustain our organization.

Boiler Fundraiser Update
The undergraduates have shown our alumni what commitment looks like. Now it is our turn to help finish the fundraiser to replace the Chapter House’s 60-plus-year-old boiler and provide the best possible environment for their continued success.

Fundraising progress is strong, but we still need additional support to reach the finish line:
• Current progress: 46.15% of goal
• Total contributions received: $16,153.00
• Remaining amount needed: $18,847.00
• Overall goal: $35,000.00

Can we please get 95 Alumni to step up and donate $200 to bring us over the finish line and show the Chapter Members how much we appreciate their efforts.

Alumni Work Weekend Progress
As you likely saw, we made meaningful progress during Alumni Work Weekend. Everyone who attended contributed significant time and effort, and that commitment was greatly appreciated.

Greetings to everyone. We are just past the midyear mark, and things will start moving even faster as we continue through the rest of the year. If you take a moment to click above, I included the Undergraduates' recent recruitment video they posted. I wanted to give everyone a chance to see who you are helping with your donations and to get a glimpse into their efforts to keep Delta Upsilon going strong.

We have reached the coveted Annual Alumni Work Weekend, July 17 – 19 in Macomb. We need as many of you as possible to help make this year a very successful event so we accomplish as much as possible.

Current Top Items for Work Weekend:
1. Finish putting down baseboards in kitchen if not done
2. Move all stuff back into kitchen
3. Spray bug/insect spray in individual rooms
4. Rake all gravel back into parking lot
5. Spray parking lot with vegetation killer
6. Put Quikcrete under front stoop
7. Replace some ceiling tiles in front entrance hallway
8. Flatten dirt hills in front yard left by Ameren
9. Repair steam table
10. Put new b-ball hoop up
11. Break up old furniture to put in dumpster
12. Trim Trees and Vegetation on property

Thank you to everyone who continues to participate in our fundraising campaign as we work to raise the funds to install a proper, up-to-date climate system in the Fraternity House. Something to keep in mind as the weather continues to go through extremes.

To anyone still waiting to contribute, we would deeply appreciate your help in reaching the finish line.

At this point, we need to raise $19,417 to reach our goal of $35,000. This means we are at 44.52% of our goal.

If just 120 brothers donate $160, we would reach our goal. Alternatively, if just 77 brothers donate $250, we would also reach our goal. This is completely achievable and will change so many things for current and future members.

This is a time when we need each of you to please take a moment to reach out and help us achieve this goal.

Current Contributors: Thank you to those setting up repeat donations; your support is invaluable. If possible, please consider joining them. Very appreciative of the following brothers for stepping up and making donations to help us get closer to our goal: Total contributions to date are $15,583.00 which is 44.52% of the $35,000 goal. Thank you to all of our recent contributors: Thomas Feldman and Bob Boden!!!

We need more participation to update our Chapter House, as our current system is 66 years old and overdue for action.
We sincerely thank our previous contributors: Darren Duncan, Justyn E Miller, Troy A Riley, Lou Vince, Justin W Ford, Shawn A Shianna, George F Lyon, James Hobson, Richard W Norlin, Christopher Nowicki, Brian Nicholson, John Sanders III, Michael A White, Jack Chrencik, Gerald Skarr, Aaron Hellwig, Austin Kern, David E Dziekan, Kevin Chierek, Bryan K Monahan, Gary Richter, Justin B Thompson, Daniel Brown, Michael J.
