Each year WIU honors employees who passed away the year prior in a memorial tree planting ceremony. This year, the ceremony will honor William Clow, Michael Dailey, Steven Myers, Amanda Schulz, Sinta Seiber, and Patricia Young, who all passed away in 2025. The event will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the WIU Memorial Tree Grove.
