The temperatures are starting to come down. It’s only supposed to be 90 degrees here today. 🤣 So, it’s time to start thinking about your next getaway to the mountains.

It’s been a while since we’ve gone to Pigeon Forge, but looking at this painting and Christmas ornament makes me want to go back.

I just finished this design for a London Christmas ornament. There are so many fun things to do and interesting things to see. Looking at the city from atop the London Eye must be thrilling! Might have to add The Big Smoke to my bucket list!

When our girls were little, we took them to Cumberland Island. I was so excited for them to ride the ferry from St Mary’s, set foot on the pristine beaches, walk around the ruins of Dungeness, be awed by
the wild horses and learn more about Georgia’s history. My enthusiasm was matched only by their disappointment. “Where’s the bathroom? Isn’t there a McDonald’s anywhere on this island? Can we go get some souvenirs? How much farther is our hotel?”

Oh well, it’s still an inspiring place to me. And maybe it is to you, too. These will be on my Etsy shop tonight.

This is the only kind of ❄️ I really like. Oh, I love to see it, drink hot chocolate, put on my fuzzy slippers and grab a good book. But I hate to be cold. So I’ll just stay in my nice warm house and paint. That’s really all the Winter weather I can handle.
