🌙 One preacher. Two kids. A river that won’t let them go. 🌙

The Haunted South series continues THIS THURSDAY with a screening of the 1955 cult classic Night of the Hunter, where Robert Mitchum’s sinister “Reverend” Harry Powell, with LOVE and HATE tattooed across his knuckles, stalks two children through the Depression-era South. 🔪🌾

Stick around after the credits as History faculty member Dr. Matt Jennings (joined by Dr. Patrick Brennan) unpacks the real history lurking behind the shadows: the Great Depression, Southern religion, and why this eerie fairy tale still gets under our skin.

🗓️ Thursday, October 15
🕒 3:00 PM
📍 MGA University Library, Library Lab 2

Bring a friend. Leave the lights on. 🕯️
