When Wesleyan Hockey returns to home ice on Friday, October 23rd, two-time Survivor player and Big Brother winner Rick Devens will help us kick things off with the ceremonial puck drop before the Wolves take on Georgia Southern!

And the excitement doesn't stop there! The first 250 fans through the doors will receive a FREE Wesleyan Hockey miniature stick, with additional swag and T-shirt giveaways happening throughout the game.

Then, when the final horn sounds, don't head home just yet! Stick around for our Post-Game Skate with the Wolves, where you'll have the chance to hit the ice and meet the team!

This week, we're celebrating National Transfer Student Week and the women who took a different path to finding their place at Wesleyan College!

For some, transferring means pursuing a program that better fits their goals. For others, it's about finding smaller classes, professors who know their names or a community where they can truly see themselves belonging.

This past week, our CEO 200 students presented their semester-long projects to their nonprofit partners. Working alongside the Macon Volunteer Clinic, the Museum of Arts & Sciences, and the Ruth Hartley Mosley Center, each team conducted research, identified organizational challenges, and developed strategic recommendations to strengthen community outreach and engagement.

Through this hands-on experience, students applied classroom knowledge to real-world situations, collaborated with community leaders, and gained valuable professional experience while making a meaningful impact on organizations serving the Macon community. 💜

Earlier this week, Wesleyan's dining hall turned into a culinary battleground as our very own Chef Carlos went head-to-head with visiting chefs from other schools for the ultimate bragging rights.

“It meant the absolute world to me to meet the person who allowed me to go to college.”

For first-year Wesleyan student Stephenie Denton, those words capture what made our Annual Scholarship Luncheon so special.

A recipient of the Gayle Clark ’68 Scholarship, Stephenie is studying History, Politics and Global Affairs at Wesleyan. And today, she had the opportunity to meet someone connected to the scholarship that is helping make her education possible.

“I don't come from a lot, but I'm so incredibly grateful to look around and see the potential and pride that everybody in this room has for each and every Wesleyan student,” she shared.

That's what makes this annual gathering so meaningful. It's an opportunity for students to meet the people behind the generosity, hear stories of the Wesleyan women who came before them and see firsthand how deeply this community believes in their success.

To the donors, alumnae and friends who make these opportunities possible, THANK YOU! Your support is helping students like Stephenie pursue an education, discover what she’s capable of and become part of a Wesleyan sisterhood that continues to invest in the next generation.

Today, we officially dedicated the Arline Atkins ’56 and Ronald A. Finch, Jr. Residential Quadrangle, honoring two individuals whose extraordinary generosity will make a difference for generations of Wesleyan women.

Their historic estate gift of more than $8.6 million is the largest bequest in Wesleyan College history, but their connection to the College goes far beyond their financial support.

For Arline, Wesleyan was so much more than the college where she earned her degree. Her relationship with Wesleyan began in 1952, when she arrived as a first-year student. She became a student leader and athlete, later returned to teach English and served on the College's Board of Trustees. Together, she and Ron remained devoted supporters of Wesleyan throughout their lives.

Now, their generosity is creating new opportunities for the women who follow in Arline's footsteps. Their gift will support student scholarships, help transform Porter Gymnasium and advance the College's $61 million SHE WILL Campaign.

As Wesleyan College President Meaghan Blight shared during today's dedication, "May their story remind us that a life well lived is measured not only by what we accomplish for ourselves, but also what we make possible for others."

For generations to come, students will walk through the Arline Atkins ’56 and Ronald A. Finch, Jr. Residential Quadrangle. And, while they may never have the opportunity to meet the couple whose names it bears, they'll be part of a Wesleyan community made stronger by their generosity!

A year ago, Maggie Walden was trying to decide where she belonged. Today, she's a first-year nursing student at Wesleyan College.

Middle Georgia, the Wolves are coming back to their home ice! 🏒🐺

After an exciting start to Wesleyan Hockey's inaugural season, the Wolves are returning to the Macon Coliseum on Friday, October 23, and we're ready to see the Wolf Pack back in the stands!

Gates open at 6:00 PM

Parking is FREE in Lots 1A and 1B. Due to ongoing arena construction, please follow the Special Event Parking signs.

Becky Leigh Wilson ’28 is working toward her dream of becoming a teacher, thanks in part to a Wesleyan woman she never had the chance to meet.

Mary Knox McNeill ’68 passed away in 2004, but her legacy lives on through the scholarship bearing her name. More than two decades later, that scholarship is helping Becky Leigh pursue her education without the financial burden of tuition.
