HI folks! We had 52 wonderful people join us for HTLP parkrun #286 on this fine fall morning! The weather was excellent and the course conditions were good too. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

A big thank you to our volunteer crew today: Susen & Britta as tailwalkers, Laurel & RIch as marshals, Stuart scanned, Yohan handed out tokens, Shelby kept time, and Dave kept us all in line.

Hi HTLP parkrun friends! Will you be joining us for event #286 on Saturday, October 17th? It looks like it will be a little cooler, but don't we all love the cool temperatures of the fall season?

As usual, we will meet at the picnic benches at the north end of Park st. This is right between the Helen C White Library and the Memorial Union. We will meet at 8:50am so we can have announcements and head to the start by 9am.

If you are interested in being a volunteer this Saturday, we would love to have you! There are a bunch of roles available for anyone who may be recovering from an injury, has a friend or family member who wants to come out, or who just plain likes giving back to parkrun. We could use a boat house marshal and tailwalker. There are also jobs like handing out tokens or scanning for people who might be finished relatively quickly and still want to help out.

What a gorgeous morning for 60 participants to complete HTLP parkrun #285 today! We had a lot of visitors and some first-timers too. And, one group of friends dunked in the lake (which was getting cooler!) afterwards!

HI HTLP parkrun friends! We have event #285 coming up on Saturday, October 10th. We hope you will decide to spend your Saturday morning with us. There is no football game and the weather should be nice. Looks like a great day to come out for your first, second, or 58th parkrun!

As usual, we will meet at 8:50am at the picnic tables at the North end of Park St. This is just betwen the Memorial Union and the Helen C White Library. We will have announcements so we can head to the start by 9am.

We are lucky to already have a boathouse marshal and a turnaround marshal. And, for the regulars, Tom is our turnaround marshal -- what will he be wearing? Who knows! If you are interested in another volunteer role, such as a tailwalker or maybe a token hander outer or something, please let us know and we will fulfill your volunteering itch!

Hi friends! We had a glorious 41 people join us to complete HTLP parkrun #284 this morning. Woo hoo! A great 5K before the Badger game. Hopefully the Badgers will win as much as every single one of our parkrun participants.

Thank you to the great volunteer team today: Susen as RD, Yohan as timekeeper, Kurt & Brad scanned, Paige was TW, Kevin & Laurel & Rich were marshals, Jim helped with tokens, and Brian made sure the course was a-ok!

Hi friends! HTLP parkrun #284 is on Saturday, October 3rd. Wow, is it October already? Well, since it is October, that also means it is football season. And, the Badgers have a home game at 11:30am on Saturday. Please plan accordingly, as there could be some traffic and parking challenges.

As usual, we will still meet at the north end of Park st. at the picnic tables. This is between the Memorial Union and the Helen C White Library. We will meet at 8:50am so we can have announcements and head to the start by 9am.

Guess what? We actually have our volunteer roles filled this week. Wow!!! However, if YOU want to volunteer any week at all, please let us know. You can chat with us at parkrun or send an email to [email protected]. Or, perhaps, send a carrier pigeon??

HI friends! It was a beautiful morning for HTLP parkrun #283 today. We had 45 participants complete the course. It was also the second week in a row we had a cross country team join us! Yay! And, we were happy to congratulate Susen on hitting her 100th event today!

HI everyone -- it is looking like it will be a beautiful morning for HTLP parkun #283 on Saturday, September 26th! We hope you can join us to run/walk/jog the HTLP parkrun course!

As usual, we will meet at the picnic tables at the north end of Park St., right between the Memorial Union and the Helen C White Library. We will meet at 8:50 am so we can have announcements and head to the start by 9am.

Please remember, we can't spell volunteer without 'U'!! If you are interested in volunteering as tail walker or one of the marshal positions, please raise your hand and let us know! We would love to have your help.

Hi friends! We had 31 participants complete HTLP parkrun #282 this morning! We were lucky that the rain ended just before 8am and we got a nice lull before the next round. So, great job everyone!!! We also had a new course record set - which obliterated the old record.

A huge thank you to the volunteer team: Brad as marshal, Zack as TW, Shelby as Timekeeper, Dave as RD, Yohan on tokens, and Eli helped with scanning.

No new pictures today though, so here's one just for fun.

HI all! HTLP parkrun #282 is on deck for Saturday, September 19th. I'll be honest with you, it is supposed to rain. Please prepare yourself. We are currently planning to have parkrun. If there is lightning and thunder at 9am on Saturday, we will have to cancel. But, hopefully it will be a light unobtrusive rain.

Due to the rain, we are planning to run the WINTER course. This means we will meet inside the memorial union at 8:50am. We can have announcements indoors or under the awning, and head to the winter start by 9am. We will then finish parkrun at the Union. Yes, this means you have to run up the hill. But, the timekeeper will not need to contend with the raindrops. A few weeks ago, we learned the rain can be a big problem for timing.

In addition, there is an 11:30am football game. So, parking and traffic may be a bit dicey in the morning.

If you want to tail walk, please let me know. We could still use someone in that role!
