Cognitive-Communication in Aging and Neurogenic Disorders Lab UW-Madison Cognitive-Communication in Aging and Neurogenic Disorders Laboratory (CCANDL) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison led by Dr. Kimberly Mueller.

Our team seeks to understand preclinical signs of dementia, shed light on possible methods of early identification, and explore innovative intervention options. We seek interdisciplinary collaboration and community input for our projects.

We are saddened by the passing of Michael Johnson, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County. A partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County and CCANDL supported a paid summer research internship for two Madison-area high school students in our lab. The project was funded by a Wisconsin Idea Fellowship led by undergraduate students Julia Zacher and Sanjana Kumar. The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County helped to recruit and train the two high school students, ensuring their success in our summer internship. We are grateful for Mr. Johnson's commitment to creating opportunities for young people and the lasting impact he had on our community.
