Cognitive-Communication in Aging and Neurogenic Disorders Laboratory (CCANDL) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison led by Dr. Kimberly Mueller.

Our team seeks to understand preclinical signs of dementia, shed light on possible methods of early identification, and explore innovative intervention options. We seek interdisciplinary collaboration and community input for our projects.

This morning, CCANDL held our first lab meeting of the semester!

We kicked things off with exciting member news and announcements, followed by reviewing our project progress. We wrapped up with a great presentation from Deling He who presented her analyses on Sustained Phonation and DDK data that was collected as part of the SPEAK-AD study!

Looking forward to a productive semester of research and collaboration! 💡

Such a great morning bringing together the CCANDL and NeuroLAND teams for our FIRST-ever joint lab meeting! 🧠✨

A huge thank you to Dr. Kimberly Mueller for kicking things off with an overview of CCANDL's research aims and active projects, and to Dr. Haley Dresang for sharing a fantastic look into NeuroLAND's current work.

It was great to dive into how our labs' interests overlap, bounce around ideas, and map out exciting directions for our future joint sessions. Can't wait to see where this collaboration takes us! 🤝

This past week, our wonderful PhD Student, Phoebe, tabled at the 24th Annual Update in Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias conference! This conference shares new updates on research and informs others about the practices used in memory and dementia care.
