Las Curanderas: From Ashes, We Rise art exhibit coming to Madison College

Presented by Latinos Organizing for Understanding and Development (LOUD), Las Curanderas: From Ashes, We Rise invites artists to reflect on how we alchemize grief into power, devastation into hope, and ashes into bloom.

The public is invited to join us for an opening reception on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 5 - 8 p.m.

UPDATE 9/2: Reservations are sold out! Be sure to check back in two weeks when the next round of reservations opens.

Reservations for Diane’s Delicious Diner at Madison College will open on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10 a.m.

There are a few exciting updates to our lunch services this semester:
- The menu will now be à la carte and change every 4 weeks
- Lunch services will run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Reservations are available for 12 p.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. Seating will last for 1 hour
- Starting September 2, reservations will open every 2 weeks at 10 a.m. for the following 2 weeks of lunch service until the semester’s end
- Lunch reservations will only be accepted via the online form on our website, with a maximum party size of 6 guests per reservation

The Kou Her Memorial Scholarship supports adult learners transforming their lives through education.

Scholarship recipient Julia McKnight recently completed her GED/HSED at Madison College and is now pursuing a nursing degree. She advises others considering returning to school to "believe in yourself and take the first step, even if the journey seems difficult."
