Meet the Staff: Morgan Tice!

If you’ve planned an event at the Discovery Building, there’s a good chance you’ve worked with Morgan!
Morgan has been part of the UW Conferences & Events team for nearly three years, but her UW–Madison story goes back much further — she’s been working on campus for about 10 years!

As an Event Manager, Morgan defines her role as a dream maker, a chaos coordinator, and someone who takes great care of her clients who host their events at the Discovery Building.

But what’s Morgan like when she’s not working? We asked her a few important questions:

Hidden talent?
Morgan says she’s “pretty good at remembering people’s birthdays.” She’s being modest. Morgan has an almost superhuman ability to remember birthdays, dates, and just about any number-related fact you can throw at her. Seriously - it’s almost scary.

One food for the rest of her life?
Cereal. (Honestly, we respect the commitment.)

Best advice she’s ever received?
“Smile at everyone — they’ll always wonder what you’re thinking.”

Spring has sprung at Discovery!

After 15 years, we said goodbye to our old atrium rug and rolled out something fresh and new. It’s amazing how something as simple as a new rug can brighten up the whole space and bring a new energy to our days.

We’re excited for all the moments and memories that will fill this new space in the years ahead!

We’re excited to share that the H. F. DeLuca Forum is getting a fresh new floor. You may notice temporary barriers and equipment as our team works to complete this project.

The Discovery Building atrium remains open to all guests during this time, though noise may be disruptive.
