Vernon County, which has a long history of flooding, was looking for a cost-effective way to monitor its streams. Through a partnership with Interdisciplinary Engineering 170 and UniverCity Alliance, the county now has low-cost, easy-to-replicate devices that measure stream height and edge-of-field runoff, designed by these first-year engineering students. https://bit.ly/4f0LFke
