The UW Health School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a 22 month, full-time, hospital-based program focused on two tracks to select: General/Vascular Sonography or Echo/Vascular Sonography. The School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a 22 month, full-time, dedicated hospital-based clinical training program sponsored by UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin. The school holds formal affiliation agreements with multiple colleges and universities to provide professional study in the art and science of diagnostic ultrasound to the baccalaureate of science candidates from those institutions.

Our program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Students complete their prerequisite course work with one of our affiliates, and their professional education at UW Health. The School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography offers professional training in two specializations. Both programs include training in vascular ultrasound.
