Madison College Biotechnology Program

This week, Madison College’s Biotechnology program welcomed students from Pardeeville High School for our first dual credit biotech visit of the academic year.

Students joined our faculty and staff in the labs for hands-on experience with qPCR, cell culture and enzyme assays. 🔬

We love seeing their enthusiasm as they explore biotechnology and discover career opportunities!

One of the highlights of our Bio-Pathways Wisconsin teacher workshop was hearing from six incredible Madison College Biotechnology alumni who are building incredible careers in the Wisconsin biotechnology industry.

Thank you to our alumni panelists for sharing your journeys from high school to college to careers in biotechnology. Your stories helped teachers see the many different pathways students can take into this exciting field. You have inspired a room full of educators and, through them, the next generation of biotechnology professionals!

What an incredible day! We welcomed teachers from across Wisconsin to Madison College for our Bio-Pathways Wisconsin summer workshop, where they explored biotechnology classroom-ready lab activities and conversations about biotech careers.

Every teacher left with free Bio-Pathways kits filled with lessons and lab supplies to bring these experiences back to their students. 🌱🔬

A huge thank you to our teacher mentors, alumni, and partners for making the day such a success. We can't wait to see these activities inspiring students in classrooms across Wisconsin!
