Last week, employees from across Student Affairs and Residence Life gathered in the Great Hall at Memorial Union to celebrate their colleagues and campus partners during the annual Student Affairs Awards Ceremony and Summer Celebration.

Congratulations to all our award recipients and every team member who helps make a difference year-round. As Vice Chancellor Lori Reesor shared: “As we close out another academic year, know that your efforts — whether they were in the background or at the forefront, acknowledged on stage or not — created the environment for our students to thrive.”

What does “Amor Sin Fronteras” look like?
— It looks like students marching up Bascom Hill with pride.
— It sounds like music and laughter at the Mercadito.
— It feels like connection during Resilient Voices in Silent Spaces.
— It shines in the artwork created alongside Vic Garcia.

This Latine Heritage Month, we celebrated love without borders — thanks to the creativity and dedication of the Latine Heritage Month Planning Committee and the phenomenal UW Latine community.
