This spring, La Follette alumni stepped back into the classroom, sharing insights from their careers and helping students connect classroom learning to real-world public affairs work. Alumni working in local government, federal government, and nonprofit work visited classrooms to show the wide variety of careers current students can explore.

“Coming back as an alum gave me the opportunity to show how classroom theories translate into practice within a local nonprofit right here in Madison,” said Sara Vant Hoff (MPA '17).
