Last weekend, a group of our international students attended the 63rd Annual Steam Threshing Jamboree at Prairie Village! They had the opportunity to experience a unique piece of South Dakota history and culture while enjoying exhibits, demonstrations, and activities. 🌾🚜

During the FIFA World Cup finals, the International Club partnered with the Esports Club to host a watch party!

Great work!!

Congratulations to Smaran Pokharel, Tenzing Gurung, and Sandesh Dhakal on earning the Best Statistical Model award at HackDavis 2026, one of the largest collegiate hackathons in California.

Supported by Dr. Austin O'Brien, Associate Professor in The Beacom College of Computer & Cyber Sciences, the team developed EveryCent, a grocery price-forecasting web application designed to help low-income families make informed purchasing decisions. Using 25 years of USDA data and Google's Times FM 2.0 AI model, their project demonstrated how technology can create meaningful social impact.

We're proud to see these Trojans representing Dakota State University on a national stage and applying their skills to solve real-world challenges.
