Gain hands-on experience at an organic dairy farm with an integrated crop-livestock focus as an intern with Justus Liebig University (JLU) in Germany! This 8-12 week summer internship offers the opportunity to assist with fieldwork, lab analysis, and data collection and get a comprehensive look at the workings of this teaching & research farm. No German skills required (though some German could be useful for adapting to daily life). Includes a monthly stipend and a travel stipend!

Van Os will provide faculty leadership for Hub activities at UW–Madison. Brown, who brings extensive industry experience and a strong background in dairy cattle evaluation, will work closely with current coaches Brian Kelroy and Trent Olson throughout the 2026–27 academic year.

Dept. of Animal and Dairy Sciences, University of Wisconsin – Madison won the graduate student oral presentation award in the Microbiology and Food Safety category at the Poultry Science Association 2026 meeting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for her oral presentation “Assessing the Impact of Feed and Water Withdrawal in Poultry Production Processes Through Litter, Carcass, and Gastrointestinal Microbiome”.
