The Central North Alabama Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout
the world. Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more

than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo
and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Educational Development, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement. Today, our chapter came together for our annual Chapter Retreat. This was a time to reconnect, reflect, build sisterhood, and set our intentions for the new sororal year.

We laughed, we set goals, and most importantly, we reminded ourselves of what’s possible when we come together with purpose.

The retreat may be over, but the work is just beginning!

New year. New goals. Same commitment to sisterhood, service, and impact.

And just like that… Regionals is complete! Different chapters. Different cities. One sisterhood.

The unity, love, laughter, and connection shared throughout the Southern Region is truly unmatched. From reconnecting with familiar faces to creating new memories with Sorors from near and far, this weekend was a beautiful reminder that our bond reaches far beyond our individual chapters.
