You're invited on Wednesday, October 21, to "look together" at the UW-Madison Libraries Special Collections with the university's own Amanda Shubert, Alison Rollins, and Kristina Huang.

Each scholar will lead a short, in-depth investigation of a historical item held in Special Collections that has informed a recent research project. Come for a demonstration of a popular Victorian optical technology and a chance to re-encounter and experience early editions of 19th century enslavement narratives.

The event starts at 6:00 pm on the 9th floor of Memorial Library. All are welcome to attend!

University Recreation and Wellbeing (Rec Well) now has more space for Badgers to play hard, get fit, and live well.

They are excited to announce a new indoor fitness facility—the Camp Randall Fitness Center (CRFC)—located within the Kellner Family Athletic Center at 1436 Monroe Street. The CRFC will open at 11am on Tuesday, September 22. See more at: https://recwell.wisc.edu/locations/crfc/

This new satellite facility is designed to support a range of fitness and exercise needs for student, affiliate, and community members on the southwest side of the UW-Madison campus. The 11,000-square-foot facility features a variety of cardio and strength equipment and free weights.
