What a weekend for MTSA at the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists (TANA) Annual Meeting!

Our students had plenty to celebrate. They disseminated 15 Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, with two tying for first place in the poster competition.

Congratulations to Deji Otunuga and Macy Wright for being part of the winning College Bowl team, and to Grace Achim on being elected TANA President-Elect.

We are so proud of our students and the incredible work they are doing to advance the nurse anesthesia profession!

MTSA’s Matt Zinder, DNAP, CRNA, Director of the Hornsby Business Institute (HBI), had a busy weekend at the Georgia Association of Nurse Anesthetists Fall Meeting in Atlanta!

Matt joined AANA President Tracy Young for a four-hour workshop focused on the business of anesthesia on Friday, then took the stage Saturday and Sunday to present on clinical topics.

The conference also provided a great opportunity to connect with CRNAs and share how HBI is helping equip both CRNA programs and practicing professionals with valuable business education.

MTSA was well represented at the North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA) Annual Conference, held Sept. 25-26!

Greg Gill, DNAP, CRNA, CNE, and Jessica Szydlowski, DNP, CRNA, ACNP, led two hands-on Point-of-Care Ultrasound workshops, sharing practical skills and expertise with fellow nurse anesthesia professionals.

Greg serves on the faculty of MTSA’s DNAP Practice Doctorate program, and both he and Jessica are graduates of our Acute Surgical Pain Management Fellowship.

We’re proud to see our faculty and graduates share their expertise, strengthen clinical education, and help equip CRNAs with skills they can put into practice!

MTSA faculty member and Acute Surgical Pain Management (ASPM) Fellowship graduate Sarah Reynolds, DNAP, CRNA, recently presented at the Maryland Association of Nurse Anesthetists Annual Meeting.

Her presentation, “Thanks, ACB & iPACK. We’ll Take It From Here!”, explored the evolving role of ultrasound-guided genicular nerve blocks in total knee arthroplasty. Sarah also co-led the Regional Anesthesia Ultrasound Workshop, providing hands-on instruction in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques.

Another great example of MTSA faculty and alumni contributing to regional anesthesia education, sharing emerging evidence, and advancing hands-on learning!
