Three North Florida College students have been named to the Florida College System Activities Association 2025-26 All-Academic Team, recognizing their commitment to academic excellence while actively serving as student leaders at NFC.

Lillian Clay, Benjamin Collazo and Jeremiah Perez, all members of NFC Student Government, earned the statewide academic distinction.

The FCSAA All-Academic Team recognizes students participating in FCSAA programs who achieved a minimum 3.30 GPA on a 4.00 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. Across the Florida College System, 1,399 students earned the distinction this year.

For Clay, Collazo and Perez, the recognition highlights the balance between academic achievement and active involvement in campus life. Through Student Government, each has contributed to the NFC community while maintaining the academic standards required for statewide recognition.

North Florida College has been selected to receive a 2026 National Voter Registration Day Community College Grant sponsored by Levi Strauss & Co. and is one of only 15 schools nationwide selected for Project Hope, an interactive public art installation created by acclaimed artist Corie Mattie, known as the LA Hope Dealer.

The $1,000 grant will support NFC’s National Voter Registration Day celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, from 11AM-1PM an intentionally nonpartisan event designed to encourage voter registration, civic engagement and student involvement.

NFC’s application was recognized for its thoughtful approach to engaging students and its commitment to creating a meaningful National Voter Registration Day experience. The College’s plans stood out for emphasizing collaboration, creativity and student engagement as ways to build a stronger civic culture on campus.

North Florida College's Dual Enrollment & Early College Programs recently hosted it's annual Dual Enrollment Summit, bringing together school counselors, administrators, curriculum leaders, home education representatives, and education partners across NFC's six-county service district.

Participants received important program updates, explored best practices in dual enrollment, and collaborated on preparations for the 2027-2028 Articulation Agreements and Early College Contracts.

The summit provides a valuable opportunity for rural education leaders to engage directly with presenters from the Florida Department of Education's Office of Articulation & Acceleration and Office of Student Financial Assistance, discussing policies, programs and pathways that support student success.

Through collaboration with state and local partners, the event reinforces NFC's commitment to strengthening college access and supporting educational attainment throughout North Florida.
