Congratulations to Susmitha on earning her M.S. in Computer & Information Science from Southern Arkansas University!

After putting graduate school on hold earlier in her life, she returned to pursue her degree while balancing work, school, and life. We’re proud to celebrate this accomplishment and all the hard work it took to get here.

Her advice to others considering graduate school? “Take the step without doubts.”

Congratulations to Hafiz on an incredible achievement! 🏆🎓

Hafiz Javed, an M.C.I.S. student with a concentration in Data Science, was recently recognized with the Outstanding Student Leadership Award at the 11th North American IEOM Conference in Milwaukee.

This recognition is a reflection of the leadership, research, and dedication he has demonstrated throughout his graduate journey at Southern Arkansas University.

Hafiz says his experience at SAU has helped prepare him for opportunities like this through supportive faculty, research opportunities, meaningful collaboration, and encouragement to present his work on a larger stage.

“Being recognized at an international conference like IEOM reinforced my confidence and motivated me to continue contributing to research, leadership, and student engagement.”
