From Dr. Drexler:
The Arkansas Archeological Society's local chapter meets tomorrow at 5pm in Bruce 104 (underneath Subway). This month's meeting will focus on the history of the Mississippian Period here in southwest Arkansas, which is a time when people developed agriculture, built massive religious complexes, invented some of the most beautiful pottery in the history of the planet, and so much more. Come join us and hear about what life was like during that time. We'll have some of our artifacts from sites around the area that date to the period out on display.
Also, this is the last bit of time before the Europeans show up and things get... tumultuous (to be very understated). That's a story for next month.
