During our time in Belfast, Northern Ireland, we visited the Titanic Experience including the SS Nomadic, the last surviving White Star Line vessel in the world. Built in 1911 in Belfast, she originally served as a tender ship to ferry passengers to giant ocean liners like the RMS Titanic.

We visited the Giant's Causeway, famous for its 40,000 interlocking hexagonal basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity, and strolled along the Dark Hedges, a breathtaking avenue of intertwined beech trees in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Planted in 1775, the haunting tree tunnel famously appeared as the "Kingsroad" in HBO's Game of Thrones.

Our trip to Galway included a visit to The Cliffs of Moher, a landmark you may recognize from your favorite movies. Along the way, we got to see Ireland's breathtaking countryside and learn about the famine walls, for which laborers got paid a penny a day to build in the 1840s. And of course we took a break to stop and feed carrots to the donkeys. Today we are traveling to Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The RCB study abroad continued in Cork, Ireland, where we visited the Cork Museum and Fitzgerald Park, the Midleton Distillery, and spent an afternoon in Cobh (pictured in front of the "Deck of Cards Houses.") Today we explored the Blarney Castle and grounds. Tomorrow we travel to Galway for more adventures.

The RCB has had an incredible and busy several days in Dublin, Ireland, full of educational and cultural experiences. We visited Trinity College and the Book of Kells, the EPIC Museum and Jeanie Johnston, St. Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedral, Guinness Storehouse, and spent an afternoon at the coast in Howth. Next stop is Cork.

The SOAR conference is focused on increasing awareness, collaborations, and actions to build a sustainable future and a better tomorrow for South Arkansas. Founded by a community alliance of educational, business, and public organizations located in Magnolia, Arkansas membership, participation, and support is open to all interested in promoting a better South Arkansas.

Make plans to join our FBLA chapter for dinner at Chicken Express on Monday, 3/30! Donations will be accepted, and a portion of the proceeds from sales between 5 and 8 PM will go toward funding our trip to the FBLA-Collegiate National Leadership Conference in Las Vegas in June!

The Rankin College of Business got to attend the Camden Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet recently! This was a wonderful opportunity for students to meet with business owners, network, and learn more about the world of business.
